What the plugin does

WooCommerce integration with OLX. Products from your store become OLX adverts, and price and availability match in both places on their own: a change in the store updates the advert, no stock switches the advert off, a delivery switches it back on. It supports OLX in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Features

OLX accounts

• Several accounts in one store; each account is one OLX site (olx.pl, olx.ro, olx.bg, olx.pt, olx.ua, olx.kz) with its own currency.
• Sign-in with the “Connect with OLX” button, connection test (account and currency), tokens refreshed daily in the background – the store doesn’t disconnect after a month.

Adverts from products

• Listing from the product list (bulk actions and the “List on OLX” link) or from the OLX tab on the product.
• Variable products: each variation is a separate advert with its own price, photo and parameters.
• Title and description from templates with placeholders; the description is converted to plain text; e-mail addresses and phone numbers are removed, because OLX doesn’t accept them.
• Product photos (variation, main image, gallery) up to the OLX category limit.
• City and district, contact name and phone, advertiser type, “Price negotiable”, automatic renewal by OLX.

Result: the advert is created from data you already have in your store.

Categories and parameters

• The OLX category list is downloaded for each site; next to your store categories you type the start of a name and pick from the suggestions.
• A default category for products from unmapped categories; a category set on the product takes priority.
• OLX parameters: automatically from the attribute with the same name, from a chosen attribute, the SKU, the EAN or a fixed value; values matched to the OLX list.

Check before sending

• Category, title (16–150 characters), description (from 80 characters), capital letters, city, price, exchange rate and required parameters – anything missing is described on the product.
• “Check (without sending)” button on the product.

Synchronisation

• A price or stock change in the store updates the advert in the background.
• Out of stock: the advert switches off; after a delivery the same advert switches back on.
• OLX Poland with OLX Delivery (Pay & Ship): the real number of items for sale (up to 1000).
• Status, link and expiry date refreshed regularly.

Advert list

• “OLX adverts” screen: status, expiry date, link, price and quantity sent, errors; views (active, in progress, switched off, needs fixing) and search.
• Actions: update, activate, switch off, renew, refresh, delete from OLX.

Good to know

• Prices: as in the store or with a markup, a fixed amount, rounding and category rules; for sites in another currency you set the exchange rate.
• Multilingual stores: advert content from a chosen language version (WPML, Polylang).
• Product safety data (GPSR) for OLX in Poland and Romania.
• Works together with the WooCommerce Allegro plugin: with both you get one panel, one dashboard and one log, each with its own licence.
• Official OLX API, keys stored encrypted. HPOS compatible.

Installation and first setup

Before you start

You need WordPress 6.4+, WooCommerce 8.5+, PHP 7.4+ and an administrator account. On OLX: an account (preferably a business one) in the country where you want to sell. In your store: products with a price, stock, a photo and a description (at least 80 characters). Back up your store before installing a new plugin.

Step 1: download the plugin and licence key

After your order (Pro or the free 10-day Free version) you get an e-mail with a licence key and a Download button. The key and the file are always in My account → Licences on wpasist.eu.

1. Click Download and save wpasist-olx-for-woocommerce.zip on your computer.
2. Don’t unzip the file – WordPress installs the plugin straight from the ZIP.

Safari on a Mac can unzip downloaded files automatically. If you see a folder instead of a ZIP, compress it again (right-click → Compress).

Step 2: install and activate the plugin

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin.
3. Choose wpasist-olx-for-woocommerce.zip, click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Result: the left menu now has wpAsist → OLX. If you also use the WooCommerce Allegro plugin, OLX is a tab in wpAsist → Marketplace Hub.

Step 3: activate your licence

1. Go to wpAsist → Licences.
2. Paste the key from the e-mail next to the plugin and click Activate licence.
3. The status changes to Active until ….

Without an active licence you can set everything up, but nothing is sent to OLX. A key works on one domain; you can change it yourself in My account → Licences → Change domain. New versions arrive in Dashboard → Updates while the licence is active.

Step 4: create an application on the OLX developer portal

1. In the plugin, go to OLX → OLX accounts and copy the callback URL shown there (it ends with admin-post.php?action=wpasist_olx_oauth).
2. Log in with your OLX account on your country’s portal: developer.olx.pl, developer.olx.ro, developer.olx.bg, developer.olx.pt …
3. Add an application: a name (e.g. “Store – OLX”), your store’s website address, paste the copied address as the callback URL, and in the description write that it is a WooCommerce store integration with your OLX account.
4. OLX reviews the application (usually a few working days) and sends the Client ID and Client Secret by e-mail.

Step 5: connect your OLX account

1. In OLX → OLX accounts click + Add OLX account, choose the site (e.g. olx.pl – Poland), enter a name for yourself, the Client ID and Client Secret, and click Add account.
2. Click Connect with OLX, log in to OLX and allow access.
3. Click Test connection – you will see the account and the site’s currency.

Step 6: categories and parameters

1. Go to OLX → Categories & parameters and click Download OLX categories.
2. Next to your store categories, start typing the OLX category name and pick the full path from the suggestions. Store subcategories without their own entry use the parent’s category.
3. Optionally set a Default OLX category for the remaining products and save.
4. The parameters of the mapped categories appear below. Choose a source for each one; fields marked * are required. Example: “Condition” → Fixed value → “New”.

OLX accepts adverts only in the last level of the category tree – the suggestions show only such categories.

Step 7: advert content, city and prices

1. OLX → Advert content: title template (e.g. {name}), description template (e.g. {description} and {attributes}), maximum number of photos.
2. Contact name and phone, advertiser type, “Price negotiable”, “Extend adverts automatically”.
3. Location and site: enter the city as it appears on OLX (e.g. “Rzeszów”) and save – “Found on OLX” appears below the field. In large cities choose a district.
4. Is your store in a different currency than the site (e.g. store in PLN, olx.ro in RON)? Set the exchange rate. On olx.pl you can tick OLX Delivery parcel sizes.
5. OLX → Prices, VAT & rules: markup, fixed amount, rounding and category rules.

Step 8: switch on selling and list your first product

1. OLX → Selling & sync: switch on selling, leave stock and price synchronisation on, and save.
2. Open one product, go to the OLX tab and click Check (without sending). Fix whatever the plugin points out.
3. Click List on OLX now. The advert goes through OLX moderation (usually a few seconds) and appears in OLX → OLX adverts.
4. Other products: Products → select them → List / update on OLX. Adverts are sent in the background.

Troubleshooting

• “Limit used up – packet needed” – the free OLX adverts in this category have run out. Buy a packet on OLX and click Activate next to the advert.
• “Missing OLX parameter …” – set the parameter source in Categories & parameters or fill in the product attribute; the value must match the OLX list.
• “Title / description is too short” – add details to the template (e.g. {name} {brand}) or to the product description.
• “OLX does not know the city” – enter the name as on OLX; for repeated names add the county after a comma.
• The account disconnected – check that background processing works in Automation & logs, and connect the account again.
• Rejected by moderation – OLX didn’t accept the content; fix the title, description or photos according to OLX rules and click Update.
